Lochinvar Golf Club
Lochinvar Golf Club is an ultra-exclusive, men-only private golf club in northeast Houston near George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Its Jack Nicklaus–designed course — the first Nicklaus course in Texas (1980) — is carved through tall pines and oaks and is consistently ranked among the top courses in the state. Organized by Houston businessman Curtis Hankamer and patterned after Dallas' Preston Trail, it is known for a purist, golf-first, walking-and-caddie culture with no tee times.
